IBSA Iberia continues to strengthen its commitment to bringing the initiatives of IBSA Group and IBSA Foundation to Spain. Established in 2012, IBSA Foundation reflects the company’s dedication to social responsibility, supporting projects that connect science with culture and education.
In this context, HappyLab arrives in Barcelona: an experiential format designed to explore the relationship between wellbeing, identity and the digital environment.
A CROSS CULTURAL WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL LIFE AND PERSONAL IDENTITY
On April 20, two experiential workshops took place, centred on dialogue and exchange, actively involving students from the Italian State Comprehensive School of Barcelona. The event was made even more distinctive by the participation of nine students from New Delhi, who further enriched the discussion on dynamics in the age of social media.
The session was structured around two main activities: a first scientific introduction to how digital technologies influence wellbeing, followed by a practical phase in which participants took part in creative exercises, such as painting a mask to reflect on their digital identity and the “Happiness Pyramid” to explore the meaning of wellbeing on a personal level. The session was guided by experts in psychology and communication, who supported participants throughout a process of reflection, dialogue and critical thinking.
This initiative is part of Happiness2.0, a project developed by IBSA Foundation that analyses the impact of social media and digital technologies on people’s lives, particularly during adolescence. As part of the Let’s Science programme, the project translates scientific knowledge into participatory experiences that foster awareness of identity in the digital age. A FORMAT WITHOUT BORDERS
Through IBSA Foundation, IBSA Group supports a wide range of initiatives, from fellowships for young researchers to cultural events and innovative educational programmes, with the aim of bringing science closer to society.
Bringing HappyLab to international contexts such as Barcelona reinforces this commitment, promoting open dialogue between science and society and providing younger generations with key tools to navigate the digital world with greater awareness and critical thinking.
