IBSA Iberia has always been committed to supporting the family life of its employees. This commitment is reflected in a range of social responsibility initiatives, including the Zoom In Day project. This initiative aims to give employees’ children an inside and detailed look at how a company operates, while providing guidance for their first steps into the world of work.
Zoom In Day: We celebrate the second edition of our initiative for the next generation
A SECOND EDITION WITH NEW FEATURES
The second edition of Zoom In Day took place on 6 October, giving six young people aged between 17 and 22, all children of employees, the opportunity to immerse themselves once again in the working environment at IBSA Iberia’s offices in Barcelona, gaining practical and valuable insight into the business world.
“Following the success of the first edition, we wanted to continue this initiative because we firmly believe in the role companies can play as active contributors to the education and development of future generations. This year, we wanted to take it a step further: it is not enough to explain how a company works; we also want to give young people real tools to navigate a job market that has changed significantly in a very short time. Today, artificial intelligence is accessible to everyone, making it even more important to help young people identify and demonstrate their own abilities and skills — the qualities that will truly set them apart” said Felipe Hortelano, General Manager of IBSA Iberia.
A DAY TO DISCOVER THE BUSINESS WORLD AND PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE
As in the first edition, the day was structured into two sessions: In the morning, following a presentation on the different elements that make up a company, internal functions and the requirements for filling these positions, participants took part in a session designed to provide a clear overview of business management. Through a game-based activity, they were able to learn about the importance of decision-making and gain an insight into how a company operates internally.
In the afternoon, the session was completely revamped under the title “What are companies looking for today?” The young participants discovered which skills and competencies are most valued by companies and, above all, how to demonstrate them even without previous work experience. The session also included a practical DISC personality assessment workshop, as well as guidance on how to build a CV that can successfully pass artificial intelligence screening, what to ask an AI tool to improve your CV, and practical job interview exercises.
"The session was very engaging and insightful. I particularly appreciated that it also included interactive activities and games, which helped us put the concepts into practice. I would highly recommend this activity." said Laia aged 21.
COMMITMENT TO PEOPLE
Driven by IBSA Group’s commitment to education and people, IBSA Iberia continues to develop the Zoom In programme. This second edition reaffirms the company’s commitment to its employees and their families, as well as its determination to promote the role of businesses as active contributors to the education and development of future generations.
